Get ready for some hands-on science that bubbles, bursts, and amazes! In this energetic class, students will dive into the exciting world of chemical reactions. They'll learn how different substances interact, observe the changes that occur, and begin to understand the basics of chemistry through safe and engaging experiments. As young chemists, students will explore cause and effect, develop observation skills, and make predictions based on scientific thinking—all while having a blast with colorful and foamy discoveries.
Set on a hobby farm on the outskirts of New Braunfels, students will collaborate with peers as they explore and observe the natural world around them. This class provides opportunities to interact with animals, investigate the garden, and engage in authentic, sensory-rich experiences. With animals in the classroom and plenty of outdoor exploration, students will connect science concepts to real-life encounters in a fun and meaningful way.
Each day, in addition to the day's topics, students will have time outside, weather permitting. Students will need a sack lunch, water bottle, and closed-toe shoes. A snack will be provided.
