How do animals survive in the wild? In this fun-filled class, students will dive into the fascinating world of animal adaptations. From the way a chameleon changes color to how penguins stay warm in icy waters, learners will explore the unique traits animals develop to thrive in their environments. Students will engage in activities that highlight the incredible ways animals use their bodies and behaviors to meet their needs, whether it's camouflaging, hunting, or escaping predators. This class will inspire a deep appreciation for the diverse strategies creatures use to adapt and survive in the natural world.
Set on a hobby farm on the outskirts of New Braunfels, students will collaborate with peers as they explore and observe the natural world around them. This class provides opportunities to interact with animals, investigate the garden, and engage in authentic, sensory-rich experiences. With animals in the classroom and plenty of outdoor exploration, students will connect science concepts to real-life encounters in a fun and meaningful way.
Each day, in addition to the day's topics, students will have time outside, weather permitting. Students will need a sack lunch, water bottle, and closed-toe shoes. A snack will be provided.
