Bundle up—it’s time to explore the chilly world of snow and ice! In this frosty class, students will learn all about the science behind snowflakes, freezing temperatures, and the water cycle. From how snow forms in the clouds to why each snowflake is unique, students will dig into the cool chemistry and physics of winter weather. This class blends hands-on discovery with seasonal fun, helping students uncover the scientific magic behind snowstorms, sleet, and all things icy and cold.
Set on a hobby farm on the outskirts of New Braunfels, students will collaborate with peers as they explore and observe the natural world around them. This class provides opportunities to interact with animals, investigate the garden, and engage in authentic, sensory-rich experiences. With animals in the classroom and plenty of outdoor exploration, students will connect science concepts to real-life encounters in a fun and meaningful way.
Each day, in addition to the day's topics, students will have time outside, weather permitting. Students will need a sack lunch, water bottle, and closed-toe shoes. A snack will be provided.
