Up, up, and away! In this high-flying class, students will explore the forces that make flight possible. They'll learn about lift, thrust, drag, and gravity as they investigate how birds, planes, and even paper gliders take to the skies. Through hands-on exploration and creative problem-solving, students will uncover the science of aerodynamics and what it takes to design something that can soar. Whether it's wings, rotors, or rocket power, young scientists will be inspired by the marvels of flight.
Set on a hobby farm on the outskirts of New Braunfels, students will collaborate with peers as they explore and observe the natural world around them. This class provides opportunities to interact with animals, investigate the garden, and engage in authentic, sensory-rich experiences. With animals in the classroom and plenty of outdoor exploration, students will connect science concepts to real-life encounters in a fun and meaningful way.
Each day, in addition to the day's topics, students will have time outside, weather permitting. Students will need a sack lunch, water bottle, and closed-toe shoes. A snack will be provided.
