Get ready to go buggy! In this exciting entomology-themed class, students will dive into the fascinating world of insects. From beetles and butterflies to ants and aphids, young scientists will explore what makes bugs unique, how they grow and change, and the important roles they play in our environment. With a mix of observation and discovery, students will gain a deeper appreciation for the tiny creatures crawling and flying all around us.
Set on a hobby farm on the outskirts of New Braunfels, students will collaborate with peers as they explore and observe the natural world around them. This class provides opportunities to interact with animals, investigate the garden, and engage in authentic, sensory-rich experiences. With animals in the classroom and plenty of outdoor exploration, students will connect science concepts to real-life encounters in a fun and meaningful way.
Each day, in addition to the day's topics, students will have time outside, weather permitting. Students will need a sack lunch, water bottle, and closed-toe shoes. A snack will be provided.
