Step right up and discover the thrills behind your favorite rides! In this high-energy class, students will explore the fascinating science that powers amusement parks. From motion and energy to design and innovation, young learners will investigate the forces and concepts that make roller coasters race and carousels spin. With curiosity as their guide, students will think like engineers and scientists as they uncover the wonders hiding behind every twist, turn, and loop.
Set on a hobby farm on the outskirts of New Braunfels, students will collaborate with peers as they explore and observe the natural world around them. This class provides opportunities to interact with animals, investigate the garden, and engage in authentic, sensory-rich experiences. With animals in the classroom and plenty of outdoor exploration, students will connect science concepts to real-life encounters in a fun and meaningful way.
Each day, in addition to the day's topics, students will have time outside, weather permitting. Students will need a sack lunch, water bottle, and closed-toe shoes. A snack will be provided.
