Get ready to move, explore, and discover the science behind your favorite games! In this action-packed class, students will dive into the world of sports through the lens of physics. From the way a ball bounces to how bodies stay balanced, they'll explore how motion, force, and energy come into play during physical activity. This class encourages observation, experimentation, and a new appreciation for how science is always part of the action—on and off the field.
Set on a hobby farm on the outskirts of New Braunfels, students will collaborate with peers as they explore and observe the natural world around them. This class provides opportunities to interact with animals, investigate the garden, and engage in authentic, sensory-rich experiences. With animals in the classroom and plenty of outdoor exploration, students will connect science concepts to real-life encounters in a fun and meaningful way.
Each day, in addition to the day's topics, students will have time outside, weather permitting. Students will need a sack lunch, water bottle, and closed-toe shoes. A snack will be provided.
